Povestea TEDxBucharest asa cum a fost

Au trecut câteva zile deja de la eveniment și am avut timp să mă odihnesc și să îmi pun ideile în ordine. TEDxBucharest a însemnat pentru mai mult de 12 oameni luni întregi de muncă, nopți nedormite, zile de planificare, ore investite. Pentru mine, personal, a însemnat să muncesc și 14 ore pe zi :), dar, chiar dacă am avut momente în care îmi iau câmpii, la propriu, pot spune acum că a meritat efortul.

TEDxBucharest a însemnat că pe 16 Octombrie am avut pe de-o parte 13 oameni extraordinari în fața noastră, iar pe de cealată parte cei peste 100 de invitați din sală, care au urmărit atenți și entuziaști discursurile TED. Am avut parte de toate tipurile de idei – de la artă, la tehnologie, teatru, muzică, depășirea sinelui, sociologie și psihologie.

Am fost cocoțat pe tot parcursul conferinței în vârful tribunei și am scris. O să vedeți mai jos că o parte din prezentări le expun mai pe larg și altele mai pe scurt – la cele mai pe scurt, vă recomand să vedeți cu atenție clipurile pe care o să le publicăm pe tedxbucharest.com

Firul poveștii începe la ora 10:30 , cu introducerea lui Cătălin Ștefănescu, cel care a fost moderator pe tot parcursul zilei. Tot în același timp am început relatarea în direct pe Twitter a evenimentului, relatare ce s-a concretizat în peste 200 de tweeturi pe #tedxbucharest, o grămadă de ReTweeturi și câteva conversații cu cei care ne urmăreau de la laptopuri.(articol epic, get ready!)

Alexandra Nechita a deschis șirul de 13 vorbitori la TEDxBucharest. Discursului ei a fost concentrat pe copilăria ei, pe modul în care au fost crescută de cei doi părinți hipioți, fugiți din România comunistă în Statele Unite, unde locuiește azi. Mesajele principale din discurs au fost:

Fiți creativi în tot ceea ce faceți, creativitate nu se limitează doar la artă, ci ne îmbunătățește viața în fiecare zi.
Părinți, creșteți copiii în spiritul libertății și autocunoașterii – ei pot să facă orice. Trebuie doar încurajați.
E mult mai ușor să crezi în vise, după ce ai reușit să îți îndeplinești unul dintre ele
Specia umană ar evolua mult mai mult dacă nu ar exista acei oameni care spun că lucrurile se fac într-un anumit mod.
Alungă rutina și creează mereu, nu te lăsa cuprins de monotonie

Una peste alta, prezența scenică, modul în care a vorbit, convingerea și ideile exprimate au lăsat o impresie foarte faină în sală pentru prima dintre vorbitoarele de la TEDx. Alexandra a surprins prin gândirea ei liberă și prin aplicarea unor idei care pentru mulți sunt doar la nivel de concept – ”Be all you can be!”.

Al doilea invitat la TEDx a fost Bassam Gemayel. El a vorbit despre schimbare, la nivelul societății și despre modurile în care se poate realiza ea. Accentul a căzut foarte mult pe România și pe atitudinea românilor față de propria țară. Multe lucruri spuse de el sunt sigur că le-a auzit toată lumea, însă nu strică și o perspectivă străină asupra schimbării:

Schimbarea nu trebuie să vină de sus, ea începe de la fiecare dintre noi.
Atitudinea contează – ia atitudine de fiecare dată când ceva nu ți se pare normal – când ți se taie calea la coadă, când ți se oferă cu scârbă o pizza pentru care plătești.
Nu există întrebări stupide, ci doar răspunsuri stupide.
Putem muta munții – piatră cu piatră.
Schimbarea se poate realiza doar cu modestie.

Cel mai tare mesaj al lui Bassam a fost : ”dacă reușești să schimbi 5% din mentalitatea românilor, ai schimbat lumea” și cred că are mare dreptate cu asta, pentru că majoritatea nu că nu pot, nu vor să își schimbe atitudinea negativă și de respingere, pentru că nu înțeleg rostul unei atitudini pozitive. Discursul a fost foarte mișto livrat, sala a apreciat foarte mult.

Așadar, după două discursuri inspiraționale, am privit timp de 20 de minute o prezentare un pic mai tehnică, despre ARCA și Dumitru Popescu , care ne-a arătat cel mai nou proiect al lui – prima rachetă 100% romînească – un adevărat motiv de mândrie, zic eu 🙂 Dumitru ne-a plimbat prin mai multe etape ale dezvoltării proiectului, prin filmulețele rulate la TEDx.

Dumitru este unul din exemplele care ne arată că prin ambiție și perseverență poți să faci lucrurile să se întâmple.

Am trecut prin prima pauză și am revenit în sală pentru discursul lui Nelvin Joseph – unul dintre cei mai tineri antreprenori de succes din India, programator de la vârsta de 6 ani. Omul este genial prin prezență și stil, dar și prin lucrurile pe care le-a făcut în India. El a inventat un program care recunoaște și învață comportamentele umane de la muncă și închide calculatoarele automat, când omul pleacă de la birou.

Proiectul face parte din curentul de știință sustenabilă , care presupune să facem economie din resursele irosite inutil.

Povestea lui Nelvin este un șir de întâmplări ciudate, care au contribuit la ceea ce e el astăzi și de aceea se conduce după filozofia că tot ceea ce se întâmplă este exact ceea ce trebuie să se întâmple 🙂

Am pășit apoi pe tărâmul arhitecturii cu ajutorul lui Stefan Bortnowski , care ne-a povestit despre cum a venit el în România cu o cauză și un plan. La noi nu prea sunt arhitecți recunoscuți și Stefan încearcă de ceva vreme încoace să lucreze cu copii, ca să formeze viitorii arhitecți ai țării. Și avem nevoie de ei, mai ales la cum arată majoritatea orașelor din țară 🙂

Am rămas în sfera tehnică și l-am avut în față pe Mircea Tudor, inventatorul Roboscan , singura invenție românească premiată la Geneva – chestia asta cică scanează automat locurile iradiate cu Gamma, fără intervenție umană – cool 🙂

Mircea a făcut o prezentare mai neconvențională – ne-a povestit că a venit la TEDx să învețe de la fiecare câte ceva – de la organizatori cum se organizează, de la Carmen Vidu teatru multimedia, de la Dumitru Popescu despre spațiu și rachete, de la Alexandra pictura, de la Alex despre munte, etc. Ne-a surprins în mod foarte plăcut cu discursul lui:

Am luat prânzul și ne-am întors apoi pentru prezentarea lui Mugur Ciumăgeanu. Cred că pot să spun că Mugur a fost printre puținii speakeri cu o idee total inovativă și mindblowing – wikisanity. Mi-a plăcut extrem de mult conceptul și modul în care putem să contribuim fiecare la rezolvarea problemelor mintale ale acestei generații – da, suntem o generație cu o grămadă de probleme – așa numitele ”issues” – chestii rămase nespuse, frustrări legate de job, carieră, familie, prieteni, distracție, bani, locuință, fericire, sex, insuficiență, mediocritate, etc. Foarte puțini dintre noi au curajul să recunoască asta, iar și mai puțini au curajul să caute o soluție.

Mugur ne-a introdus foarte tare in peisajul nevoii de schimbare din sfera psihologiei, prin comparația cu Aristotel sau Socrates la TED. Aristotel s-ar simți total pe lângă, din cauza evoluțiilor tehnologice. Socrates pe de altă parte nu ar avea mari dificultăți în a urmări dicsuția – atât de puține inovații s-au făcut în sfera sănătății mintale.

Următorul invitat – Bogdan Naumovici – director de creație, ne-a vorbit despre o mișcare numită ”Rezistența” și care are ca scop crearea unei țări românești bazată pe bun simț, respect și responsabilitate. Cel mai spicy punct al prezentării cred că a fost modul în care a folosit cele 3 proiectoare în paralel :)(lucru care i-a cam provocat pe băieții de la tehnic)

Bogdan e un om normal – are două Harley Davidson, un Lexus, e în top 40 advertisieri din Europa și are sub 40 de ani.

Prezentarea lui Bogdan a strălucit mai degrabă prin modul de a expune ideile.

Mircea Toma, unul dintre activiștii sociali prezenți ca vorbitori la TED, a abordat problema culturii și civilizației rrome, pentru a exemplifica nevoia oamenilor de a fi fericiți și acceptați așa cum sunt. Cred că cel mai memorabil quote de la el este că: Toată lumea are nevoie de câte o față prietenoasă, cu care să rezoneze.

Un alt punct important atins de Mircea Toma este puterea mass media , care poate distruge ani de muncă în doar câteva minute de știri, reactivând uri latente față de anumite categorii sociale sau culturi. Așa s-a întâmplat cu romii și scandalurile din vară din Italia.

După atât de multă psihologie și umanism, Gabriella Ficz ne-a readus pe pământ și foarte aproape de celule, prin discursul ei despre celulele stem. Unii au spus că ar fi fost o lecție de biologie, însă eu cred că a fost mai mult de atât. Câteva dintre ideile principale:

Am mai luat o pauză scurtă, ca să ne pregătim pentru Carmen Lidia Vidu. Ea ne-a surprins foarte plăcut printr-o prezentare cu amprente foarte adânci de teatru multimedia. De aceea mi-e foarte greu să descriu în cuvinte o combinație de culori, sunete, emoții, mișcări, umbre.

A vorbit despre ea, despre mama ei, despre prietenul ei, despre prietena ei cea mai bună, despre ea, despre moduri de a percepe lumea. A fost un spectacol deosebit și cred că va fi primul clip pe care îl voi urmări 🙂

Sandra Pralong a intrat după Carmen Vidu și ne-a adus din nou în lumea ideilor și a activismului social. Prezentarea ei a venit în completare la ce povestise Bassam și ce prezentase Bogdan cu ore înainte, însă cu un stil extrem de american, înfipt, decis și antrenant. Mare parte din prezentarea ei s-a axat pe conceptul TED, de idei ce merită împrăștiate și pe modul în care se poate face asta -viral.

Sarcina de a închide TEDxBucharest i-a revenit lui Alex Găvan și expedițiilor lui din munții de peste 8000 de metri aflați în Nepal. Aceasta a fost din nou o prezentare foarte greu de transmis prin cuvinte, pentru că trebuie să vedeți imaginile filmate, pentru a înțelege curajul și energia de care ai nevoie ca să ajungi în vârful unui asemenea munte.

Ideea principală din discursul lui Alex: Munții pe care îi cucerești în viață sunt cei din interiorul tău, iar fiecare provocare mare de care te apuci e ca și cum ai sta la poalele Munților Himalaya.

În traducerea mea liberă înseamnă că poți să faci orice în viață, ești mereu la un pas de moarte și dacă nu te pregătești, o să mori pe drum sau o să te întorci fără să fi cucerit nimic.

Cam asta a fost perspectiva unui live tweeter de la TEDxBucharest și vreau să vă mulțumesc celor care ați avut răbdare să citiți acest articol epic.

Pe această cale sper ca și colegii mei din echip să fi trăit măcar o mică parte din conferința pe care unii nu au avut ocazia să o vadă aproape deloc.
